{"id":1752,"date":"2013-01-08T18:40:57","date_gmt":"2013-01-08T18:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/20thcenturyilluminations.com\/?page_id=1752"},"modified":"2013-01-08T18:41:54","modified_gmt":"2013-01-08T18:41:54","slug":"hanging-and-displaying-your-ketubah-at-your-wedding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/cs110.temp.domains\/~beyondp0\/20thcenturyilluminations.com\/hanging-and-displaying-your-ketubah-at-your-wedding","title":{"rendered":"How To Hang and Display Your Ketubah at Your Wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Instructions \/ recommendations for signing and temporary mounting of your ketubah for display at your ceremony.<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nYou can bring the ketubah to an inexpensive frame shop to do the work, or if you are comfortable handling the ketubah and other materials you can do this yourself.\u00a0 If you do the work yourself you will need a big ruler and good razor knife as well as a clean flat surface.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\nThe ketubah can be reverse rolled to flatten.\u00a0 This is done with a clean 3 or 4&#8243; diameter tube.<br \/>\nMount the document on foam core (does not need to be acid free).<br \/>\nCorner mount only. Do not dry mount.\u00a0 It should be completely removable from the mounting after the ceremony.<br \/>\nCover the mounted doc. with acetate.<br \/>\nCut a matt to fit.<br \/>\nMount the matt and acetate (not the ketubah!) firmly at the top with scotch tape while it is flipped open, then close.  Use tape only at the bottom two corners after it is closed so the matt and acetate stay put.<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nAt the ceremony you can flip\u00a0open the matting and acetate from the bottom (you will need to take off or cut the tape).  Use a sheet of clean paper under your palm when signing.<br \/>\nClose and\u00a0re tape when signed.  It should now be ready for a temporary display.<br \/>\nPut the display in a safe area so no guests can spill food or drink on to or knock over.<br \/>\nAssign someone responsibility for taking the ketubah to a safe location after the celebration so you don&#8217;t have to think about it after you sign it.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend the Pigma Micron 02 Archival Pen (.30mm).<br \/>\nYou can purchase these pens from Dick Blick Art Supplies:  www.DickBlick.com<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRecycle or discard all materials and use only archival quality backing and matting for permanent display.<br \/>\nMazal Tov!
